As a Controls Designer at Direct Design and Fabrication, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of our automated production lines, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, and modify control systems and schematics for manufacturing equipment.
  • Create detailed electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic design drawings using design software.
  • Coordinate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate control systems into production processes.
  • Collaborate with technicians and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve control system issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Assist in the commissioning and start-up of new equipment.
  • Provide training and support to operators and maintenance personnel on control system functionality and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in control system technology.
  • Continuously improve existing control systems to optimize performance and minimize downtime.

What You'll Bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Controls Designer or a related role.
  • An associates degree in a controls technician degree field.
  • Strong proficiency in electrical design software and CAD tools.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards, such as NEC and UL.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
