Music Teacher/Choral Director
Schools: Clarksville High & Clarksville Middle
Period of Time: Full time position for the 2024-2025 school year.
Qualifications: Appropriate license issued by the State of Indiana to teach vocal, instrumental, and general music. Credentials to teach dual credit are preferred.
Duties:
1. Effectively implement vocal and general music instruction and assessments for grades 5-12. This includes following the curriculum guide and teaching standards as outlined by the Indiana Department of Education and the Clarksville Community School Corporation.
2. Effectively communicate with all stakeholders regarding student performance.
3. Effectively monitor all student learning.This would include but is not limited to, observing and recording all student data related to classroom activities, providing intervention as indicated by the data and observations, and communicating with stakeholders regarding student learning.
4. Effectively implement school and board adopted policies, procedures and practices.
5. Effectively assume the duties associated with classroom management and administration of the school (i.e. attendance records, grade reporting, lesson plans, parent communication, etc.).
6. Effectively support the theater arts program by serving as the vocal director of theatrical productions.
7. Effectively implement other duties as assigned by the administration.
Salary: Schedule as adopted for the 2024-2025 school year.
