Job Description

About the Role:

We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Technology Product Manager to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will focus on crafting the digital experience for our exciting new JD-Next program. You'll collaborate closely with various internal teams—such as digital, editorial, marketing, and sales—as well as with external vendors and freelancers. Your role will be pivotal in shaping our product development process and delivering top-notch digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development

Develop user stories, system requirements, prototypes, flow charts, and functional specifications for new and existing digital products.
Engage with students, faculty, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and enhance the user experience through interviews, focus groups, and research.
Work with the digital team and other stakeholders to prioritize and coordinate tasks, ensuring that project goals, budgets, and deadlines are met.
Act as an advocate for assigned products, presenting functionalities to internal and external stakeholders.
Innovate and propose new digital learning experiences using emerging technologies.
Research and analyze market trends, competitive products, and opportunities for growth.
Ensure product and website designs align with industry standards and company goals.
Assist with project planning, milestone tracking, and progress reporting.
Support user acceptance testing and manage defect tracking.
Marketing and Customer Engagement

Collaborate with the marketing team to promote new and existing digital products.
Clearly define and communicate the value proposition for marketing materials and customer outreach.
Create engaging educational content and customer support materials as needed.
Update course content and notifications in the learning management system.
Sales & Customer Service Engagement

Support sales and customer service efforts for digital products and courses.
Gather customer feedback through various interactions and participate in product launches and training.
Provide training materials and documentation for internal and external use.
Other

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience in Technology Product Management.
Background in educational technology, higher education, high stakes testing, or online learning is a plus.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively, meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
Strong project management skills with experience in handling shifting priorities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across different levels of the organization.
Proficiency in prototyping/wireframing and familiarity with agile development frameworks preferred.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and experience with content management systems and learning management systems is a plus.
Comfortable with technology including HTML editors and project management software.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and work both independently and collaboratively.
Physical Requirements:

Normal office environment with the ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
