WHO we're looking for: We are looking for a Sr. Technical Business Analyst who will be responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to provide technical expertise during continuous, iterative exploration of business processes.
Role and Responsibilities: - Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions.
- Lead concept sessions with business to understand and document high level features and epics.
- Translate features and capabilities into system impacts and High level design.
- Create as-is and to-be flows for the processes being transformed.
- Ability to execute techniques used for identifying the underlying cause of a problem: Five Why's Analysis and Fishbone Diagrams.
- Provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects.
- Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
- Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and partner with multiple management teams and other units to meet organizational objectives.
- Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems and industry standards.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Required Experience and Education: - 6-10 years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies / JIRA/ a plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis.
- Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
- Knowledge of credit card processes (e.g marketing, rewards, payments, acquisitions) a plus.
- Ability to apply design principles and patterns.
Necessary Skills and Attributes: - Self-motivated individual with the ability to thrive in a team-based or independent environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Limited supervision and the exercise of discretion.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include ability to distinguish the nature of objects by using the eye. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity.
Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. May require working additional time beyond normal schedule and periodic travel.
