Job Summary:
A Quality NDT Technician performs systems checks and calibration, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and recording of results.
Responsibilities:
* Set up and utilize radiographic testing equipment.
* Actively participate in Radiation safety Programs.
* Ensure the work or radiation area is controlled.
* Calibrate radiographic testing equipment as required.
* Conduct radiographic tests to ensure quality or detection of discontinuities.
* Establish techniques for proper examination of welds under inspection while ensuring strict adherence to safety rules and regulations.
* Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
* Interpret radiographs.
* Organize and report test results.
* Complete, maintain and/or submit daily radiation reports for management review, as required.
* Perform specialized inspections as required.
* May train and/or provide direction to new hires
* Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management.
Education: Associates degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Position Requirements:
* Prior certification as an NDT level II in Radiography is required,
* Digital radiography experience is required.
* Completion of RT formal training Per SNT- TC1A required
* Prior certification as an NDT Level I or II with experience hours towards certification to Level II per SNT-TC1A standards on one or more (1) of the following is preferred; UT, VT, MT or PT.
* Industrial Radiographers Certification Card preferred. (Required for all hired as a Radiographer).
* Completion of a forty (40) hour Radiation Safety Course preferred. (Required for all hired as a Radiographer).

* Demonstrated proficiency with computers and MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

* Ability to interface effectively within and across teams both internally and externally as required.
* Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours as needed to accomplish the task or work with little or no prior notification.
This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
