Role Overview: As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be integral in advancing our engineering and product strategies through Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver robust systems that meet the complex demands of our customers. Your expertise in MBSE, software development, and industrial automation will be crucial in shaping the architecture and integration of our products. Location: Bedford, MA Key Responsibilities: Lead the application of MBSE techniques to define system architecture, requirements, and interfaces. Collaborate with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to develop and refine system-level designs and solutions. Develop and maintain system models, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and business objectives. Support the full product lifecycle, from concept development through system verification and validation. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members in the application of MBSE. Drive continuous improvement in systems engineering processes, tools, and methodologies. Coordinate with software development teams to ensure seamless integration of software components into system designs. Analyze system performance, identify potential issues, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure system reliability and robustness. Participate in technical reviews, design audits, and risk assessments to ensure system integrity and compliance with industry standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on modeling and simulation. Proven experience in software development and integration, with a solid understanding of software engineering principles. Proficiency in C# highly preferred Experience using Emulate 3D highly preferred Experience in industrial automation and complex systems is highly preferred. Ability to lead and manage complex engineering projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality results. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities. Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus. Why Berkshire Grey?
