Job Description
Our client, a well-known retail apparel company, is looking for a Principal SEO Strategist to join their team for a remote 3-month contract.
Responsibilities:- Create and implement an SEO roadmap to meet business objectives.
- Lead SEO strategies to increase non-paid traffic and set industry standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert in SEO, content marketing, and web development trends, including AI and content automation.
- Advocate for SEO best practices and educate internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage technical SEO elements like site architecture, mobile optimization, and crawlability.
- Optimize website content, meta tags, and other on-page elements for better rankings.
- Develop and execute link-building strategies to improve domain authority.
- Promote SEO best practices across the organization to support scalable user acquisition.
- Provide thought leadership through case studies and insights.
- Establish data-driven marketing strategies, including local and multilingual optimizations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SEO issues as they arise.
- Explore innovative ways to drive organic traffic and develop impactful campaigns.
- Create reporting frameworks to monitor and improve performance.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10+ years of SEO experience (retail expertise preferred).
- Proven leadership experience managing SEO teams of 5–10+ people.
- Strong track record of driving organic search growth.
- Expert knowledge of SEO best practices, search algorithms, and analytics tools.
- Experience leading agency or in-house SEO teams.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
