Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Dish Steward to join our team at The Westin Raleigh-Durham Airport. As a Dish Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen area. Your primary responsibilities will include washing and sanitizing dishes, cutlery, and various kitchen utensils, as well as assisting with basic food preparation and cleaning tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Full time and Part time positions are available.

Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using specific procedures
- Sort, stack, and store clean dishes and utensils properly
- Assist with basic food preparation, such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping countertops, and emptying trash bins
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working condition
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a hygienic environment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and timely service
- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing food and supplies as needed
- Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the supervisor or manager
- Follow established protocols for waste disposal and recycling

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
