As a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) at Cornerstone VNA, you'll experience the freedom of providing essential care and support to clients in the comfort of their own homes. Working independently, you'll have the autonomy to make a difference in the lives of our clients, but rest assured, our supportive team and managers are just a phone call away if you ever need assistance. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to take care of personal tasks and assist with housekeeping based on each client's unique care plan.
Your primary focus will be helping our clients achieve their personal goals, whether it's through companionship, ensuring they can age comfortably at home, or providing whatever assistance they may need. DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
To be successful as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) at Cornerstone VNA, you'll need a few key skills and qualifications. First and foremost, a High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Additionally, we value candidates who hold a PCSP or PCA Certification, if you don't, you will have the access to successfully complete our PCSP/PCA program at Cornerstone VNA. These certifications and trainings ensure that you have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide exceptional care to our clients.
In addition to the required certifications, we also look for individuals who possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. As a PCA, you'll be working closely with clients and their families, so being able to effectively communicate and build relationships is essential. Additionally, having a compassionate and empathetic nature will help you connect and understand the unique needs of each client. While no specific software or tools are required for this role, being comfortable with basic technology and electronic documentation is a plus.
