Medical Billing Representative
Our client is a large-scale healthcare provider. They have over four decades of experience providing pharmacy, clinical, and nonclinical care to patients both at home and throughout their community. They focus on quality, innovation, and improving their community as a whole. With new projects on the horizon, they are hiring a Medical Billing Representativ e to support billing department operations including sorting inbound correspondence, filing documentation, and verifying quality and accuracy of files.
The Medical Billing Representative will serve as the liaison between healthcare members and county office representatives in responding to requests for inquiries or requests for information.
***This is a 3-month contract to hire opportunity. Opportunity for employee to work hybrid model (3 days in office / 2 days remote).
***Hours required are 7 - 3:30pm or 7:30-4pm (Mon-Friday)

Focus:
• Process and submit billings, encompassing paper, electronic, and web portal submissions.
• Strictly adhere to the billing schedule, ensuring the timely submission of claims.
• Review and manage denials.
• Promptly address and rectify all rejections within a 24-hour timeframe.
• Timely submission of claims for rebills, complying with specified filing limits.
• Effectively communicate denials that cannot be resolved by the billing team/supervisor and revenue cycle manager to relevant business managers.
• Cross-train to provide support and coverage in diverse areas as required.
• Fulfill other assigned duties as necessary.
Skill Set:
• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of accounts receivable and/or collections preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and other similar computer systems.
• Proven ability to ensure customer satisfaction and appropriately handle escalations.
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and writing skills.
• Strong organizational skills with an analytical mindset.
