Job Description

The Manager of Social Services offers comprehensive clinical supervision and social services expertise.

This is a salaried position, primary working hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday

Required qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work related field

• Clearance to supervise by having passed the mandatory 15 hour Supervision class required to provide supervision to ASW, MFTI, LPCCI according to the State Regulatory Board.

• Experience in working with a diverse population with a wide range of "presenting issues" (i.e. death and dying, maternal and child care, substance abuse, disability, chronic illness, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Oversee clinical supervision for social services staff within the hospital, focusing on top-tier discharge planning and social services delivery in critical areas, fostering a culture of excellence and compliance.

• Curating tailored resource directories and formulating crucial policies for the Social Service Department, in close collaboration with the Directors of Case Management.

• Engaging in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) studies concerning social work and discharge planning for hospital staff regarding social service and discharge planning issues, in addition to ensuring optimal departmental staffing for efficiency.

• Upholding departmental compliance with rigorous standards from the Joint Commission or HFAP, as well as federal, state, and local regulations, is essential.
