Job Title: Maintenance Technician – Days (7:00 am – 4:30 pm) plus the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

The work being performed in this role affects the ability of the manufacturing facility to run equipment and fulfill customer needs. It will impact both the quality of the product based on successful maintenance of equipment and the efficiency in which the product will run.

What You Do on a Daily Basis

Perform preventative and proactive maintenance on winders, cutters, core machines, corner board (edgeboard), and winder equipment. Investigate causes of the equipment not running efficiently, breaking down, or producing non-quality product. Once the cause is identified, determine a solution and manage repair. There may be times when multiple pieces of equipment may have errors, you must be able to prioritize work based on timeliness of repair, business needs and the availability of resources. To diagnose equipment errors, you may be required to use voltmeters, and other diagnostic equipment or processes. Other duties may be asked of you based on business needs. You will be required to use a computer while at work and must be able to use Microsoft Office programs such as: Outlook, Word and Excel. Due to the need of this role, flexible work hours may be considered.

Quality includes the type of work being performed: ensuring that repairs are done properly, diagnosing problems accurately, and ensuring that the quality product that is expected by our customers’ is what they receive. To be considered for this role you must be able to pass a post offer drug screen and background check.

Helpful Skills

Having prior experience working in an industrial manufacturing maintenance role would be the best fit for this role. Being able to troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment. Fabricating experience is a must in this role. Working in a maintenance role, you must have basic math skills, and understand the difference between whole numbers, fractions and decimals. You should be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance. This role may require you to continuously stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, climb, crawl for extended periods of time based on the work being performed.

Compensation details: 26-30 Hourly Wage
