About This Opportunity

The Electrical Engineer II provides leadership and guidance to Engineering and Design personnel in the pursuit of proper application of design standards and code requirements. Provides technical guidance to cross functional teams which includes internal and external resources. The Engineer II will also work collaboratively with Sales, Manufacturing, and other departments to meet customer specifications.

What You Will Do

  • Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks and adhere to engineering and design standards
  • Provide technical leadership to drafting, sales, purchasing, manufacturing, installation, and customer service in support of troubleshooting for GFS equipment
  • Lead or participate in multi-discipline product development and corrective action teams to address product cost, quality, and delivery concerns
  • Provide phone and in-person job site support for install and start-up purposes for customer service and project management groups
  • Perform research and development tasks to value engineer standard products and introduce new products to the market
  • Improve processes and procedures to enhance the accuracy, quality, and speed of the engineer’s responsibilities
  • Lead or participate in technical reviews during all phases of the project from proposal to production release
  • Performs analysis on air flow, heating, lighting, and mechanical aspects
  • Design complex controls systems that integrate hardware and software which includes HMI and PLC programming
  • Travel to job sites to do start-up and commissioning of equipment
  • Analyze and propose design concepts consistent with NFPA, UL, NEC code requirements

What You Have to Offer

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related program with 3-8 years of experience or Master’s Degree in Engineering with 0-6 years of experience or Associate degree with 10-15 years experience
  • Demonstrates good general knowledge of core products, technologies, and standards
