Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The ECCP Data Specialist performs ongoing monitoring of quality improvement activities and compliance with all applicable ECCP Program. This position works under the direct supervision of the Clinical ECCP Manager. The Data Specialist uses best practices and tools to analyze and measure data quality and develop action plans to ensure data reliability, completeness, and consistency. The Data Specialist will prepare specialized reports needed for evaluating the impact of training and monitoring activities . This position will represent ABH® and its services in a positive and professional manner and adhere to ABH®’s best practices, guidelines, policies and procedures as established, promoting ABH as a leader in behavioral healthcare in all interactions and work. Further developing continuous quality improvement (CQI) process enhancements, software, and tools in order to increase capacities of use with and within the ECCP Information System (EIS) and/or integration of new EIS enhancements. Contract (or add durational staff) with person(s) knowledgeable in the existing EIS and/or mental health data systems. Investment in the EIS and/or updated data system will further enhance the ECCP program's ability to use data in an effective streamlined manner. These investments will aid in the ability to report ECCP's community impact, support consultant model fidelity and assess continued areas of growth for the ECCP program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides direct support for various measurement mechanisms used in the collection, analysis and reporting of project monitoring outcomes and other quality improvement activities, including maintaining various spreadsheets and database information for reporting needs;
  • Partners closely with data creators and IT to ensure data is usable, timely, robust, trustworthy, and compliant.
  • Assists with preparation/updating of project materials;
  • Tracks and trends provider performance as demonstrated in aggregated chart review data, site monitoring;
  • Prepares clear and comprehensive analysis reports (specialized reports, narrative summaries and visual presentations, e.g., MS Excel charts, graphs, flowcharts, etc.), and submits completed reports in a timely manner;
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders;
  • Performs a wide variety of administrative support tasks to ensure efficient operations
  • Suggests enhancements to workflow processes, information systems, and other non-personnel related processes;

Maintains confidentiality of all protected individual information and adheres to all HIPAA-related policies and procedures;

  • Demonstrates ethical behavior and cultural sensitivity in all activities;
  • Attends all required staff, supervision and training meetings;
  • Performs other tasks/responsibilities as required to support the business operations.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in health sciences or related field required;
  • 2+ years’ experience in HMO/health insurance or behavioral health service provision
  • 5+ years’ specialized data projects

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work well independently and in collaboration with other staff members to meet reporting deadlines;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage various data collection methodologies, information analyses, and produce clear report presentations;
  • Demonstrated organizational and analytic problem-solving skills;
  • Must be flexible in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands;
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Knowledge of cultural diversity, engagement and ethics;
  • Excellent PC skills with demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Package (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook); Tablou, internet ;
  • Strong written and verbal skills required.
