Job Description
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Strategist
We are a performance marketing agency specializing in helping SaaS and tech companies succeed. Through our unique methodology, Customer Generation, we prioritize driving sales-qualified leads (SQLs) and customers, rather than relying on traditional marketing metrics like MQLs. Our services include Paid Media, SEO/Content, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), and Video, all integrated into custom digital marketing strategies that help clients consistently achieve their SQL goals.
As a CRO Strategist, you will be integral to executing data-driven strategies that enhance advertising, landing page, and website conversion rates. Reporting to the Director of CRO, you will work closely with enterprise SaaS clients, using your expertise in CRO to develop strategies, drive results, and optimize performance.
Role & Responsibilities
Lead CRO Strategy: Own and implement high-impact CRO strategies that drive measurable improvements in clients' conversion rates by leveraging data insights and creative solutions.
Tailored Strategy Development: Design and execute custom CRO strategies for a diverse client base, aligning each initiative with specific business goals and objectives.
Manage Client Accounts: Oversee day-to-day CRO strategy for multiple client accounts, managing the entire experimentation process, including A/B and multivariate testing, and behavior analysis.
Provide Expert Guidance: Serve as a trusted advisor on CRO methodologies, helping clients—particularly those new to CRO—understand the value and impact of optimized strategies.
Conduct CRO Audits: Assess client performance, provide clear, actionable advice, and create plans for improving conversions.
Define Key Metrics: Establish KPIs for CRO, create A/B testing roadmaps, and optimize various elements, such as digital campaigns, landing pages, website user experience, and form conversions.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work with other departments to identify and explore CRO opportunities, contributing to client proposals and presenting strategies in a clear, confident manner.
Cross-Sell & Upsell: Drive client relationships and business growth by identifying opportunities for additional services and collaborating across teams, such as Paid Media, SEO/Content, and Video.
Client Visits: Travel to visit clients as needed, approximately once per year.
What You Bring to the Table
Experience: 5 years in performance/digital marketing, with at least 3 years focused on CRO, ideally in the B2B or SaaS space.
Strategic Expertise: Proven ability to create and implement successful CRO strategies that enhance website and campaign performance.
Client-Facing Skills: Strong experience managing complex client relationships, providing guidance, and leading CRO initiatives.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Unbounce, and Webflow, as well as expertise in CRO tools (e.g., Google Optimize, Optimizely, VWO), research tools (e.g., Hotjar), and web analytics (e.g., GA4).
Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable, data-driven strategies for conversion optimization.
CRO Thought Leadership: Stay up to date on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in CRO, attending industry conferences and events to expand knowledge.
What Success Looks Like
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients, driving renewals and repeat business.
KPI Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed department KPIs, such as client growth, goal attainment, and client satisfaction scores.
Strategic Decision-Making: Make informed decisions that guide client accounts toward successful outcomes.
Cross-Sell & Upsell: Successfully identify opportunities to expand service offerings and provide value to clients.
What We Offer
Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, and disability coverage, including a 100% employer-paid plan for you and 50% employer contribution for dependents.
Wellness Support: Access to mental health resources, including therapy through Spring Health and Headspace, and physical health benefits through Omada and Aaptiv.
Generous Time Off: Unlimited PTO with a minimum of 2 weeks, paid company holidays, and a company-wide break at the end of the year (December 24 - January 1).
401(k) & Bonuses: Traditional and Roth 401(k) with a 3% company match, plus an annual bonus based on tenure.
Work-Life Flexibility: As a remote-first company, enjoy the flexibility to work from anywhere in the U.S., with an optional office in Irvine, California. We also offer global opportunities where applicable.
Professional Growth: Continuous opportunities for learning, including participation in CRO conferences and access to a collaborative, dynamic team environment.
Work Environment
This role is 100% remote, with the flexibility to work from anywhere. As a remote team, we collaborate using Zoom, Slack, and various productivity tools. You'll be expected to have reliable internet access and a professional background for virtual meetings.
If you need any accommodations during the application process, we are committed to providing support.
