Job Description
Job Summary The Cost Accountant will report to the VP of Accounting and will partner with the operations team. The responsibilities of the position include reviewing Bills of Materials (BOM's), updating costs, and performing analysis of production processing and reporting.
Pay Range: $80,000 - $105,000/yr
Duties and Responsibilities - Provide support to management through analysis and reporting.
- Review inventory transactions for correct posting and identify errors.
- Prepare an item cost review through BOM rollup and analysis.
- Prepare Month end inventory reconciliations and cost estimates.
- Monitor production execution and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare daily and weekly reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of Capex requirements.
- Prepare monthly Royalty statements.
- Assist with audit requirements and physical inventories.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities.
- Perform SOX compliance reviews.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree or higher with major in accounting or finance.
- 5 Years' experience in a process manufacturing environment.
- CPA preferred.
- Advanced MS Excel.
- ERP and WMS experience.
Work Environment - This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and may work in proximity with customers and staff.
- Must be able to travel to other office locations.
- Frequent travel required.
- Requires travel to different dispensaries and locations throughout the assigned area, particularly during peak times.
Job Requirements - Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities, not hours; must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, sit, and bend for a majority of their work schedule.
- Must be able to travel to other office locations.
- Ability to use a computer and calculator for 8 hours or more.
- Required to have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving history. Must have own transportation.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Selected candidates will be required to complete a post offer, pre-employment background check with the local law enforcement or city Police Department.
