Scott County Hospital, located in Scott City, KS, is seeking a Receptionist for our clinic facility. Clinic Receptionist Responsibilities:

• Know software and be able to use it efficiently.
• Operate switchboard telephone system.
• Schedule appointments.
• Collect appropriate demographics from the patient and set them up in the computer.
• Complete encounter forms.
• Assist patients with billing questions or transfer to the appropriate billing staff.
• Collect payment for services by following clinic policies and procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.

Additional Responsibilities

• All individuals in this department are expected to treat patients under the direction of the physicians and in compliance with the wishes of the patient/customer and family members as long as it does not conflict with the physician's orders and is in the best interest of the patient/customer. At no time should the personal interests and beliefs of a staff member interfere with the treatment and care a patient /customer receives.

Education, Qualifications, Experience:

High School diploma or GED.

Previous healthcare experience preferred.
