The Job: 

We are currently recruiting an entry-level Insurance Claims Specialist . A Claims Specialist is responsible for uncovering various details about the claim itself and all parties involved. The Claims Specialist would then provide a timely and accurate report back to the clients in a timely manner. This is a growth opportunity and great for anyone that is looking for a good mix of operations, investigation, and business-to-consumer relationships. Recent college graduates and entry-level talent are encouraged to apply.

What You Will Be Doing As A  Claims Specialist

  • Review settled insurance claims to determine that payments and settlements have been made in accordance with company practices and procedures
  • Report overpayments, underpayments, and other irregularities
  • Confer with legal counsel on claims requiring litigation
  • Investigate, evaluate and settle claims, applying technical knowledge and human relations skills to effect fair and prompt disposal of cases and to contribute to a reduced loss ratio
  • Adjust reserves or provide reserve recommendations to ensure those reserve activities are consistent with corporate policies
  • Resolve complex, severe exposure claims, using high service-oriented file handling
  • Pay and process claims within the designated authority level
  • Examine claims investigated by insurance adjusters, further investigating questionable claims to determine whether to authorize payments

  • Attention to Detail - careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks


Salary:

  • $40,000-50,000/yr + Benefits

  • Bachelor's degree
