**Job Description: Experienced Baker**
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled and creative Baker with extensive experience in producing high-quality baked goods. As an Experienced Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a wide range of baked items, including Japanese cheesecakes, tarts, macarons, and other desserts, ensuring they meet our standards of taste, appearance, and freshness.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Baking Production:**
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, such as Japanese cheesecakes, tarts, pastries, and more desserts.
- Follow recipes precisely to ensure consistency and quality.
- Monitor baking process and adjust temperatures as needed.
- Decorate and finish baked goods with attention to detail.
2. **Recipe Development:**
- Collaborate with the team to create and test new recipes to add to menu which a Japanese theme.
- Modify existing recipes for improvements or to meet specific dietary requirements.
3. **Quality Assurance:**
- Ensure all baked goods meet our standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
- Conduct quality checks on ingredients and finished products.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen.
4. **Inventory Management:**
- Monitor ingredient levels and place orders as needed.
- Rotate stock and manage waste to minimize loss.
5. **Team Collaboration:**
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules.
6. **Compliance and Safety:**
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including kitchen equipment and tools.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Baker, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and recipes.
- Ability to operate commercial baking equipment.
- Creativity and artistic skill in decorating baked goods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
**Education:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification from a culinary school is a plus.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays of baked goods.
- Standing for long periods and working in a hot environment.
**Hourly Rate:**
-$18-21 an hour plus tips
-rate depends on experience
